Shine at Eastbank featuring Stonefield
Word and Mouth Greater Shepparton, in association with Riverlinks, is proud to confirm that the Shine Youth Festival will rock Shepparton again this year.
Both parties are thrilled to announce award winning and Triple J high rotation teenage rockers Stonefield as their headliner for the “Shine at Eastbank” concert. Aimed at people between the ages of 12-25, the event promises to be a great climax to National Youth Week.
Stonefield are a band of four sisters that grew up in country Victoria. They have everyone on the Australian music scene talking about their funky stylings and vintage rock roots even though the girls are still relatively young. They have supported Kaiser Chiefs, Cold Chisel, Jebediah and performed to major Australian festival crowds - and that’s just last year! When they thought it couldn’t get any better, they also played at the biggest music festival in the world in 2011; Glastonbury.
The girls will be supported by local winners of the Word and Mouth Battle of the Bands, Jay Sea, as well as winners of the 3630 High School Battle of the Bands, Mother Dearest.
Word and Mouth have again teamed up with Riverlinks for the event. “We are very excited about the partnership for this concert after the success we had with Justice Crew and Riverlinks last year,” Mr Gow said. “Both organisations have a focus on bringing big names to Greater Shepparton, especially for younger young people of the area.”
