The Kazoos in Concert

The Kazoos in Concert

Christine Harris & HIT Productions, Australia's Premier Theatre Touring Company present The Kazoos in concert.

The Kazoos provide very high-quality children’s entertainment for any occasion.  Based around original Kazoos songs, the shows are colourful, dynamic and very funny.  The Kazoos come in singing and dancing and the fun never stops!  Kids will be mesmerized by the characters and enthralled by the wonderful music, dancing and magic.  The show is a fast-paced, fun-packed ride and will have kids dancing, singing along and participating.  Kids love the crazy antics of The Kazoos. The primary audience for a Kazoos appearance is children 1 - 8 years old.

The character of Professor Silly is played by Chris Hill

Chris has been involved with music and show business all of his life.  He is a trained actor and has a unique comic timing all of his own.  Chris is very passionate about song-writing and performing for children and has that rare ability to really connect with a young audience.

The character of Tulip is played by Celia Hill

Celia has been enchanting children as a party entertainer for the last five years.  She has the voice of an angel and is an exciting and energetic performer.  Before The Kazoos she was writing and performing her own songs in clubs around Melbourne, Australia.  In fact, it was at one of these gigs that she met her future husband, Chris Hill.  Little did they know that the birth of their first child would inspire the birth of The Kazoos!

Working together

As parents of two pre-schoolers, Chris and Celia recognize the importance of children’s education and incorporate many subtle learning activities into The Kazoos’ performances. All songs are written by Chris and Celia and they both work very closely with The Kazoos’ director and choreographer to produce the best possible shows on all levels.

A sparkling on-stage team is supported by a very strong crew of industry professionals

The dance elements of the show are choreographed by Cara Dinley.  She is the Resident Choreographer for the Entertainment Store and is Dance Captain for ‘The Wiggles’ live entertainment shows nationally and in New Zealand and Taiwan.  Cara has choreographed the following childrens’ shows:  Angelina Ballerina, Funtime with Friends (ABC & BBC Character show,) Around the World with Blinky Bill, and The Blinky Bill Xmas Show.

History & Past Clients

The Kazoos started operating in May 2005 and have been working constantly ever since apart from 9 months maternity leave leading up to and around the birth of their second child in November 2006. From the early days of shows without any backing tracks, using just acoustic guitar and their voices, The Kazoos have gone from strength to strength. Betty Bobbitt joined the team as director and co-writer and Cara Dinley was brought in to create the choreography. New costumes, new dance moves, new songs and script and The Kazoos were set for an adventure that seems to have no limit!

In 2008 The Kazoos will be touring NSW, Victoria and Tasmania. The tour is being presented by HIT Productions, Australia's premier theatre touring production company.
