Riverlinks presents Don Giovanni
Mozart and da Ponte's sublime creation is an undisputed masterpiece. The towering figure of Don Giovanni dominates every moment of the opera. While famous throughout history for his many conquests, he is now unable to command women as he used to. When the curtain opens, we meet Don Giovanni at his most dangerous and desperate. He commits murder before becoming hunted, challenged, depraved and, finally, eternally damned.
This opera confronts our deepest moral instincts and throughout the ages has held up a mirror to humanity's dark heart. Conducted by Nicholas Carter, this new production presents Green Room Award winning director Jean-Pierre Mignon's production - offering new insights to Mozart's darkest opera. The score will be energetically brought to life by a sparkling Australian cast, and introduces baritone Samuel Dundas in the title role.
