The Australian Youth Orchestra, brimful of energy, passion and commitment, brings to life the brilliance of a young genius in a program of Mendelssohn’s music.
Under the expert guidance of conductor Christopher Hogwood – ‘the von Karajan of early music’ – the AYO will sparkle in the overture to A Midsummer Night’s Dream, deliver a compelling performance of the ‘Reformation’ symphony, and accompany brilliant young virtuoso Amir Farid in the first piano concerto.
